Billie Joy Temples

Mrs. Billie Joy McLemore Temples, 81, of 119 Willow Glen Drive, Blakely, GA 39823, passed away Friday morning, August 25, 2017 at her residence. Her funeral will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Mitchell officiating.Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral beginning at 2 p.m. in the Southside Baptist Church Sanctuary.Burial will be at the Blakely Cemetery with Alex Griffin, Jeff Mitchell, Sam Gaston, Jesse Warren, Nick Warren and Charlie Blake, Stan Howard and Bobby Gaston serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Temples was born on June 27, 1936 in Ellerslie, GA to the late Billy Duncan McLemore and Alma Adams McLemore. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church of Blakely and had retired from Moores Department Store after working many years as a sales clerk. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Robert Franklin Temples, a son; Harold Duncan McConnell and a sister; Esther Ann McLemore Brake.

Her survivors include a son; Bruce McConnell of Valley, AL, a step-daughter; Robin T. Mitchell and Jeff of Blakely, a sister; Shirley McLemore White of Blakely, GA, a brother; Larry McLemore and Jan of Carrollton, GA and 4 grandchildren; Eli McConnell, Frank Saunders, Robyn Warren and John Saunders, 6 great-grandchildren; Nick Warren, Jesse Warren, Matt Warren, Skylar Saunders, Barbara Jean Saunders, and Frankie Saunders.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Southside Baptist Church, P. O. Box 644, Blakely, GA39823 or Kindred Hospice, 432 E. Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, GA39819.
