Billie Jo Harvey

July 29, 1928 — April 6, 2017

Billie Jo Harvey, 88, of 74 Woodlawn Drive, Blakely, GA, passed away at her home on Thursday evening, April 6, 2017.Her graveside service will be Sunday morning, April 9, 2017 at 9 a.m. at the Blakely Cemetery with Cliff Starr officiating.

Mrs. Harvey was born on July 29, 1928 in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Anderfield Sheffield and Vertie "Bert" Reynolds Sheffield. She was an insurance agent with her husband's Farm Bureau office for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blakely. She and Mr. Harvey were members of Campers on Mission for many years, were very active at Wednesday night prayer meeting and visitations at the Early Memorial Nursing Home, were volunteers at theRYDC and were volunteerworkers at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Grady Harvey, Jr., her son: Andrew Jackson (Andy) Harvey, a sister: Eloise S. Whittle and 2 brothers: Rupert Sheffield and Doc Sheffield.

She is survived by a daughter; Cheryl Harvey of San Antonio, TX and a son: Tom Harvey of Dawson, GA.
