Betty Mae Jordan Wilson, 88, of 754 Wilkie-Moseley Rd., passed away unexpectedly at her residence, Friday, August 9, 2019. Her funeral will be held Monday, August 12, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church with Dr. James Hilburn officiating.Burial will follow in the Colquitt City Cemetery.Active pallbearers will be Lane Wilson, Billy Wilson, Randall English, Jacob English, Andy Givens, and Hudson Givens.Honorary pallbearers will be Elvyn Vickers, Tommy Odom, Gary Enfinger, Eddie Riley, Martin Evans, Darrel Jordan, Landon Givens, Mason Wilson, and Carson Wilson.Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
Mrs. Wilson was born August 22, 1930, in Miami, FL, to the late George Jordan and Sadie Mae Lambert Jordan.She was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church, a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Calvin Wilson, a son, William Eugene Wilson, and a brother Charles Dewitt Jordan.
Her survivors include two sons; George Lane Wilson, Sr. and Barbara, Billy Joseph (Joe) Wilson and Beverly, a daughter-in-law Karen C. Wilson all of Blakely, GA.She has a sister-in-law, Jeanette Sheffield Jordan of Colquitt, GA.She has five grandchildren; Andrea Givens and Andy of Colquitt, GA, Tabaitha English and Randall of Blakely, GA, Jill Wilson of Blakely, GA, Lane Wilson and Casey of Colquitt, GA, and Billy Wilson and Treela of Blakely, GA.There are 10 great grandchildren; Hudson Givens of Colquitt, GA, Hannah English, Jacob English, Madison English all of Blakely, GA, Mason Wilson, Landon Givens, Carson Wilson all of Colquitt, GA, Megan Hobbs, Kayla Floyd, Caroline Floyd all of Marianna, FL.She also has three great-great grandchildren; Haley and Gracie Hobbs, and Camden Tew.Her home companion, her dog Penny.
