Betty Elaine Register

Betty Elaine Register, 76, of Blakely, GA. passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Graveside Services will be held Monday, June 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Liberty Assembly of God Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry Murkerson officiating. Betty was born November 8, 1947, in Coolidge, GA to the late John Lee Register and Betty Jean Smith Register. She was a registered nurse, working for Lakeland General Hospital for many years. She attended Liberty Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by brothers, John Wayne Register and “Jimmy” James Clayton Register, and sisters, Victoria Ann Carroll and Katherine Steele. She is survived by her sons, Joshua Lee Ward (Bethany) of Blakely, GA and David Thomas Ward (Lindsey) of Sarepta, LA, grandchildren, Abbie Danielle Ward, Brittany Elaine White, Elaina Morgan Hill (Osa), Meagan Lee Manuel (Stetson), Dillon Kade Moore, Haeleigh Nichole Moore, Haden Thomas Ward, Brenna Grace Walker, Bailey Ann Walker, Braelynn Maria Walker, and Alex Christian DeWeese, great-grandchildren, Penelope Grace Miller, Phoebee Gayle Hill, Kehlani Grace McClendon, Bailey White, Cash White, and Reece White. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
