Betty Jo McFay, 85, of 86 Redbud Street, Blakely, GA, passed away Tuesday evening, October 29, 2019, at Life Brite Community Hospital of Early.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jerry Murkerson officiating.Burial will follow in the Blakely Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Russ Williams, Wes Williams, Tommy Owen, Patrick Andrews, Jeremy Whittaker, Ryan Harrell and Nick Tedder. The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday night, October 30, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home.

Mrs. McFay was born on June 13, 1934 in Abbeville, AL to the late Myer Lobe Wood and Donnie Woolfe Wood.She was a member of Shorterville Baptist Church and she was a retired seamstress having worked at Editex and Brew Schneider Textile Plants.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Carroll McFay and all her siblings.

Her survivors include a daughter Donna Williams and Mike of Arlington, GA, two sons; David McFay and Ann of Shorterville, AL, Michael McFay and Natasha of Blakely, GA, 9 grandchildren; Angel Brown of Blakely, Ashley Andrews and Patrick of Coleman, GA, Chad McFay and Kim of Edison, GA, Nichole Whittaker and Jeremy of Dothan, AL, Randy Hudson and Braxton Hudson both of Blakely, GA, Russ Williams and Caitlin of Arlington, GA, Wes Williams and Maria of Donalsonville, GA and Amy Aguilar and Marin of Daleville, AL.There are 16 great-grandchildren; Peyton Brown, Lanie Brown, Bailey Whittaker, Maison Whittaker, Raelyn McFay, Kaylynn Hunter, Marisa Hernandez, Alexis Munoz, Cadence Aguilar, Ty Williams, Ava Williams, Bo Williams, Colt Williams, Jet Williams, Cooper Williams and Anna Gibbs Williams.She was also awaiting the arrival of Piper Jo Andrews.
