A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2020, in Blakely Cemetery with Dr. Alex Howell officiating.In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Lucy Hilton - Maddox Memorial Library, 11880 Columbia St. Blakely, GA39823.
Mrs. Betty was born on August 5, 1929 in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Dempsey Reeves and Ann Cox Reeves.Along with her late husband, Walton DuVont "Red" Knighton, she was the co-owner of Early Furniture Company for many years and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blakely.
Survivors include her son, Wayne Knighton and his wife Betty of Athens, GA; a daughter, Rebecca K. Harrell and her husband Rudy of Atlanta; and six grandchildren along with four great-grandchildren.
