Bertha Mae Henry Goolsby, 92, passed away at the LifeBrite Hospital of Early, Blakely, GA on May 29, 2019.Her funeral will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with Rev. LaDon Croom officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until time for her funeral. Burial will follow in Pine Lawn Gardens with Jimmy Brookins, Rodney Brookins, Kenny Barber, Wendell Whitaker, Arnold Whitaker and Marlin Whitaker serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Goolsby was born on December 23, 1926, to the late William Magruder Henry, Sr. and Emma Gratis Barrington Henry.She was a member of Blakely Church of Christ and a homemaker.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Edward Goolsby, a son, Tyrone Edward Goolsby; three sisters; Velaria Henry, Mildred Houston and Elise Whitaker; two brothers, Eugene Henry and W. M. Henry, Jr.

Her survivors include one son, Larry Goolsby and wife Jung-Ja of Tucker, GA, three sisters; Grace Barber-Rehberg and husband Virgil of Marianna, FL, Virginia Bryant of Colquitt, GA and Mavis Brookins and husband Donald of Colquitt, GA; one brother, Talmadge Henry of Colquitt, GA, two grandchildren; Frank Goolsby of Lilburn, GA and Catherine Goolsby of Decatur, GA.
