Bernice Newberry Craft, 91, passed away October 31, 2017 at Early Memorial Nursing Home, Blakely, GA.There will be a Graveside Service at Oak Grove Cemetery, Arlington, GA, on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jonathon Fuller officiating. Family will receive friends at 10 a.m. at the cemetery one hour prior to the Graveside Service. She wasa homemaker and a member of the Arlington Baptist Church, Arlington, GA. Mrs. Craft graduated Arlington High School and then attended VSU in Valdosta, GA. Bernice was born to the late John William Newberry and Bernice Johnson Newberry. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Wilvern Kenneth Craft, Sr; two sisters, Carolyn Melvin and Aileen Eley; five brothers, Olin, Tommy, Jack, John and Albert Newberry.
Her survivors are one daughter, Nancy Craft Heard (Joe) of Newton, GA; two sons, Ken Craft (Phyllis) of Damascus, GA and Tim Craft (Jill) of Blakely GA; seven grandchildren, Jerry Heard, Jr., Jeff Heard, Karen Heard League, Holley Jaakkola, Brooke Odom, Kayla Craft and Cale Craft; eleven great-grandchildren; Brooklyn Holt, Chase Heard, Will Heard, Walker Heard, Kevin Heard, Caroline Heard, Cason League, Gabby League, Georgia Odom, Ava Jaakkola and Sophie Jaakkola; two great-great grandchildren, Sawyer Holt and Henry Holt.
