Beatrice Foxworth McFay, 95, formerly of Leary, GA, passed away on Saturday, May 09, 2020, at Community Hospice-McGraw Center for Caring in Jacksonville, FL.
She was born May 06, 1925 in Geneva, Alabama to the late John Walter and Ada Rodgers Foxworth.Beatrice retired from the Georgia Department of Public Health where she worked as a health technician and was known throughout Calhoun County for her baking skills, especially her famous Buttermilk Pies.She was a member of Leary United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Chapman (Mike) of Jacksonville; two grandsons, Adam Wilkerson (Megann) of Jacksonville, their son River Johnson of Suwanee, GA. and their daughter Aubree Wilkerson of Jacksonville, and Zac Chapman and his daughter Maddie of Dillard, GA.; a brother, Herman Lee Foxworth of Bristol, FL.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Harold McFay; and ten siblings.
A private family graveside will be held at Vincent Methodist Cemetery, Bluffton, GA.
