Avis Baker Gilbert

In cooperation with her wishes, a private interment was held at Blakely Cemetery.
Mrs. Avis was born on August 9, 1933 in Blakely to the late Carlie Baker and Eva Barr Baker.She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and retired from Universal Blanchers.
Survivors include her son, Michael Hammock of Cedar Springs, GA; two grandchildren, Amber Gardner and Dusty Gardner of Jakin; a brother, Ralph Baker, and numerous extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Glenda Carol Hammock, her husband, Warner Gilbert, and two brothers, E.J. Baker and Jessie Earl Baker.
