Amanda “Mandy” Lane Taylor of Snellville, GA passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the age of 41. Mandy was born November 26, 1980 in Moultrie, Georgia. Mandy resided in Arlington, Georgia in her early years before moving to various South Georgia locations as an adult. She is a graduate of the Early County High School Class of 1999. She attended Wiregrass Georgia Technical College in Valdosta, GA where she participated in the practical nursing program and earned her LPN degree. Mandy was a strong believer in Christ Jesus and remained an active member of her church, The Church of the Nazarene, while living in Valdosta, GA. This unwavering faith, coupled with the immense love for her children helped her remain vigilant and positive in her five year battle against Colorectal Cancer. Family was of the upmost importance to Mandy. She also enjoyed family gatherings, geocaching, crafts, puzzles, fishing, and DIY projects. Mandy is proceeded in death by her grandparents, John Whiddon, Marvin Taylor, Ben Lane, and Betty Lane. Mandy is survived by her children, Maggie and Kasey Johns; her parents Casey and Karen Taylor of Arlington, GA, Sarah Lane and Joe Thwaites of Valdosta, GA; her siblings Ashley Drocea (Thomas), Nicole Holcomb (David), Allen Morgan (Erika), and Kristen McGee (Michael); her adopted sister, Chevy Newham (Troy); her grandmother Francis Whiddon; and many extended family members and close friends. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 1pm Friday, September 23, 2022 at Temple Baptist Church. 16561 HWY 45 S. Arlington, GA. 39813 Fellowship luncheon will take place in the church social hall immediately following.
