Alvin Keith Brown, 70, of Blakely passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday afternoon, March 8, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, in Bluffton Cemetery with Dr. Alex Howell officiating.The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Hope Baptist Church, 3832 US Highway 27, Blakely, GA39823.
Alvin was born in Edison, GA to the late Melvin and Jeanette Mercer Brown on New Year's Day, 1951.He was raised on a farm and continued farming for numerous years.In addition to managing Blakely Feed & Seed for nearly twenty years, he was a licensed realtor, auctioneer, and invested in several local real estate properties.Alvin was a member of the Blakely First United Methodist Church Men's Bible Class, a Mason, and proudly served our country in the U.S Army Reserve.Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sonya Brownlee Brown.
Survivors include his two children, Harriss Brown and wife Jennifer and Katie Bishop and husband Tom; seven grandchildren, Caleb, Collin & Addison Brown, Jacob Gee, Sam, Emily & Elizabeth Bishop; his brother, Bob Brown and wife Felicia "Sissy"; four stepchildren, Dedee Waller Reeder and husband Stacy, Teddy Waller and wife Shannon, Brad Waller and Tonya Davis, and David Waller and wife April along with numerous extended family members and friends.
