Mrs. Alphie Durham Beach, 86, of Perry, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, December 1, 2020, at Haven Hospice in Chiefland.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Houston Cemetery in Blakely, GA.The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, prior to the service.
Mrs. Alphie was born on September 24, 1934 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi to the late Elbert Lee Durham and Fleetie Alice Corsby Durham.A longtime resident of Perry, she was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing along with knitting.She also loved taking and sharing pictures with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Coreina Thomas of Live Oak, FL; four sons, Matthew Beach of Deer Park, WA, Lonzo D. Beach, II, Ellis C. Beach, Jr. of Aurora, CO, and Nathan Beach of Madison, FL; four siblings, Robert Durham, Charlotte Corbin, Vondla Sullivan, and Dottie Dexter; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren along with extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, Ellis C. Beach Sr., and a son, Clifton Beach.
