Alma Iona Duke

Alma Iona Duke, 82, of 1314 Ivey's Mill Rd., Leary, Ga. 39862, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 25, 2017 at the Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, GA. Her funeral will be a graveside service held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Salem Cemetery, Edison, Ga. with Rev. Jeff Henry officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation Friday eveningJanuary 27, 2017 from 6 until 8 PM at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, Blakely, Ga.

Mrs. Duke was born on Jan. 31. 1934 in Brinson, Ga. to the late Dock Campbell
Wells and Marie Josey Wells. She was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Warren Duke; a daughter, Margaret Dunn Williams and a son, Marvin "Pee Wee" Croskey, and two grandsons; Marvin Andrew Dunn and Wade Wigley a granddaughter, Tammy Kimbrel and twin great-granddaughters, Abby and Ashlyn Dunn.

Her survivors include 4 daughters; Loretta Dhinoy of Columbus, GA, Marie and Calvin Rigbyof Panama City, FL, Karen Jansen of Americus, GA and Nita Duke of Patmos, GA. She also has 3 sons; Marvin Dunn of Jesup, GA, James and Darla Dunn of Arlington, GA, and Mikeand April Croskey of Perry, GA. There are 2 brothers; James Wells of Marion Illinois and Wesley J. Wells of Blakely, GA.There are numerousgrandchildren,great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will gather at the home of James and Darla Dunn, 5064 John McMurria Road, Arlington, GA39813
