James Allen Howard, 70, of Blakely passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at LifeBrite Community Hospital of Early.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31st, in Blakely Cemetery with Dr. Alex Howell officiating. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Colomokee Baptist Church, 2222 Colomokee Church Rd, Blakely, GA39823.
Allen was born on August 27, 1950 in Blakely to the late Louie James Howard and Frances McFay Howard.With an eye for detail and mechanical aptitude, he enjoyed restoring vintage cars & trucks.He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially fast ones.Allen retired from the city of Blakey and attended Colomokee Baptist Church.He will be dearly missed by his beloved family.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy English Howard; his two daughters, Allison Rust (Robert) and their children, Ward, Andrew, and Chase of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Ashley Rhodes (Brent) and their children, Carter & Ella of Troy, AL; three brothers, Bobby Howard (Jackie) of Dothan, AL, Gerald Howard (Penny) , and Jerry Howard (Janet) both of Blakely; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lamar Howard and Gene Howard.
