Aline Williams Starr, 90, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016, in the Early Memorial Nursing Home. The family will have a visitation Wednesday evening, May 25, 2016, from 7 until 9 PM at the funeral home. A private, family only, graveside service will be held before the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at Westview United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2 PM. Rev. Adam Starr and Rev. Jonathan Fuller will be officiating. The active pallbearers will be Billy Killebrew, Jacky Bruner, Starrlyn Bruner, Curt Smith, Danny McGriff, Mark Starr, Bob Daley and Wayne Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Wright, Joey Freeman, Smiley Bush, John Brown, Perry Jarrett and Gary Clinkscales.

Mrs. Starr was born Dec. 23, 1925 in Blakely, GA to the late James Dexter (Deck) Williams and Ruby White Williams. She and her deceased husband, Clifford Joel Starr, Sr., were owners of the Starr Grocery Store. She was a member of the Westview United Methodist Church and a graduate of the old Blakely Union School , Class of 1942. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Josh Starr and a great granddaughter, Maddie Jones.

Her survivors include 2 sons: Cliff Starr and his wife Angela of Blakely, GA; Scott Starr and his wife Sharon of Cairo, GA and a daughter: Karen Everson and her husband Jimmy of Blakely, GA. There are 6 grandchildren: Mark Starr, Adam Starr, Ashley Jones, Lacey Norman, Kyle Everson and Megan Holton. There are also 13 great grandchildren. The family wants to thank a special caregiver, Margaret Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Westview United Methodist Church, 85 Willow Glen Dr., Blakely, Ga. 39823
