William Albert Hubbard, 80, of Bluffton passed away peacefully on Sunday, April, 26, 2020, at Early Memorial Nursing Home.
Albert was born April 13, 1940 in Edison, Georgia to the late William Monroe and Hortense Meadows Hubbard.Albert enjoyed people and was very sociable, his gift of gab made him a natural salesman as he enjoyed a long career with Early Furniture.Sitting on the porch and waving at cars was his favorite hobby after retirement along with trips to the beach.Albert was a faithful member of Bluffton Baptist where he served as the song leader for countless years.He also served our country in the United States Army.He left a lasting impression and will we dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Gloria Brinson Hubbard; a daughter, Carol Ann Knight (Tommy) of Jefferson, GA.; his sons, Mark Hubbard (Crissy) of Cobb, GA., and Al Hubbard of Yulee, FL.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Billie Ann Bruner, Helen Veatch, and Shirley Chance.
Due to current restrictions, the family will be having a private graveside service at Bluffton Baptist Cemetery.
